Emmeline Tovey

My early musical experiences centred around choral singing, providing me with amazing opportunities to collaborate. While cello and piano lessons provided me with a solid understanding of the language of music, my passion for opera was ignited when I discovered the power of theatre. As a performer, I strive to connect with audiences through authentic storytelling no matter the project. I aspire to be a part of the process of creating a new opera and breathing life into a character.

I was born and raised in Vancouver, on the beautiful west coast of British Columbia, Canada. When I’m not performing, I enjoy working as a singing teacher helping youth to find their voices. Whenever possible I love spending time with animals and walks on the beach, collecting seashells and rocks.
