I was first introduced to opera watching Stravinsky's 'The Rakes Progress' at the Edinburgh International Festival and fell in love with the art form and felt inspired to explore the different sound worlds opera has to offer. I’m a huge fan of the Scottish Composer Sir James MacMillan and loved writing my dissertation on his settings of the Passion narrative. I also enjoy musical education and outreach projects concerning vulnerable and homeless adults with Streetwise Opera. They do incredible work!
I come from a wee town in the highlands of Scotland called Elgin. I love hiking and climbing up Munroes whilst trying to spot some of the local wildlife. I am a big fan of whisky. Also into wacky off-the-wall movies and Lord of the Rings.
